Introduction

The Colegio Mayor Universitario de Alicante has been created and is managed by the "Fundación Colegio Mayor Universitario de Alicante", of which the founders are the Universidad de Alicante and the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterraneo. It is a private entity and it is a body attached to the Universidad de Alicante.

The maximum authority on the Colegio Mayor belongs to the Patronato de la Fundación, which formulates the annual budget, proposes the management directive, takes part in the most transcendental questions and overviews the Director's Management.

The Director is appointed by the Vice-chancellor of the Universidad de Alicante and, by delegation, represents the Colegio Mayor. He also has at his disposal the authority delegated by the Patronato for the management and administration, which will have to perform according to the directives and agreements of said Patronato
