Activities

The University of Alicante Halls of Residence is not just a lodging centre. During your stay with us you will be able to perform different activites which we will briefly explain.

The opening and closing of the academic year solemn acts, they have an academic characters and take place in the theatre of the Halls of Residence. You must attend these.

Additionally you can participate in the activities that take place in the Halls of Residence on behalf of student-formed Commissions. You can also participate on the school parties.

The Commissions' activities

Apart from academic activities and school parties the student life in community is expressed through the activities promoted by the resident Students' Commissions.

Once the academic year starts, the Deans chosen by the Students' Plenary in the name of the Director promote the inscription of Students into Commissions.

These Commissions are created following tastes and interests to perform in areas such as theatre, cinema, music, sports, computing, photography, etc.

Once these Commissions are constituted, each on of them will have to propose a "Programme of Activities" listing, if necessary, the equipment that would be required.

The Deans coordinate these Commissions and will formally document the proposed Programmes and, once the Director has supervised them, the Administrator will proceed to value the cost of the proposals and prepare the budget on a project level.
